Private Alpha

Start with one thoughtful idea.

An early version for a small group of invited households. Some features remain Preview. Check important gifting information before relying on it.

Founding Alpha

Start with one wishlist idea. If something feels confusing or unexpectedly visible, you can reach the GiftWise team here.

Support uses the in-app feedback form. Sign in to send a report and allow contact if you would like a follow-up. Privacy concerns go to a restricted urgent-review queue. Describe the steps without copying anyone’s private gift details, and pause the affected workflow.

If you cannot sign in, use Forgot password on the sign-in screen. If that does not help, reply to the person who invited you. An alpha invitation should name your support contact.

Getting started

Start with your own wishlist and one idea. A Gift Circle is optional. You can skip setup and come back later.

Create a wishlist

Open My Wishlist. Paste a store link or enter an idea manually. Give it a useful name and check the details before saving.

Share a wishlist

Use Share on My Wishlist to create a viewer link. Only share it with people you choose. You can revoke the link. Sharing a wishlist does not share private buyer notes or purchase status.

Create a Gift Circle

Open Gift Circles and choose Create Circle. Give it a name your people will recognize. Your personal wishlist stays yours.

Invite someone

Open your circle and send an invitation to their email. They should use the same verified email to accept. Alpha access needs approval; new invitations may be paused.

Wishlist or Surprise Idea?

A wishlist is what someone says they would like. A Surprise Idea is a shopper’s separate idea, hidden from the recipient and people managing that recipient’s wishlist.

Reserved

Reserve means you intend to handle a gift. Other eligible shoppers can see it is being handled. The recipient cannot see that status. Release it if you change your mind.

Purchased

Mark Purchased after buying it. Other eligible shoppers see that it is already purchased. The recipient’s wishlist stays unchanged; your private buyer details stay with you.

Why the recipient sees no status

Coordination is for shoppers. Recipients see their normal wishlist, without buyer notes, reservation badges, purchase totals or who is buying.

Gift Exchanges

Set up participants and review the draw. Each giver sees their own assignment. Organizers manage the roster without browsing everyone’s pairings. Keep assignment details out of shared messages.

My Gift Plan

Keep your intended recipients and progress together. Your plan and budget are private. Wishlist items are ideas; a plan records what you intend to do.

Gift Profile

Add colors, interests, sizes and things to avoid. New entries start private. Review the audience for each entry before sharing.

Privacy and reporting

Use Send Feedback and choose Privacy concern for anything unexpectedly visible. Describe the steps without copying other people’s private contents. Please pause that workflow until it is reviewed.

Taking a break

Alpha settings let you stop participation, export your personal records or request deletion. Stopping the alpha keeps your data and circle memberships; leave circles separately if you want to.
