Start small: a wishlist, one idea, and the people you choose to share with.
Founding Alpha
Start with one wishlist idea. If something feels confusing or unexpectedly visible, you can reach the GiftWise team here.
Support uses the in-app feedback form. Sign in to send a report and allow contact if you would like a follow-up. Privacy concerns go to a restricted urgent-review queue. Describe the steps without copying anyone’s private gift details, and pause the affected workflow.
If you cannot sign in, use Forgot password on the sign-in screen. If that does not help, reply to the person who invited you. An alpha invitation should name your support contact.
Private Alpha help, feedback and current limitations
Start with your own wishlist
Create an account and open My Wishlist. Add a gift by pasting its store link or entering an idea manually. No circle is required. Your personal context stays available when you join circles later.
Build your Gift Profile
Open Gift Profile to add preferences, sizes and things to avoid. Entries begin private. Review Sharing and Privacy before choosing a circle, exchange or registry audience.
Invite or join your people
Open Gift Circles from the app navigation. Create a circle and invite people using their email address. To accept, sign in with that verified email and review your invitations in Gift Circles.
Share a wishlist viewer
Open My Wishlist and choose Share. Copy its viewer link and send it through your preferred messaging app or QR tool. The viewer can browse without an account. Personal wishlists can be shared without a circle; guest coordination is not enabled for the founding alpha.
Keep a Surprise Idea private
In a circle, choose the person you are shopping for, then add a Surprise Idea. It is separate from the recipient’s wishlist. Never put a secret in their public wishlist notes.
Reserve or mark a gift purchased
Open Shop for Others in the relevant circle. Choose a gift, reserve it or update your own purchase status. Private buyer details remain hidden from the recipient. Availability depends on access and sharing settings.
Run a Secret Gifter exchange
Open Exchanges in a circle. Choose Secret Gifter, participants, exclusions and a budget. Review and validate the draw before confirming it. Each giver sees their own assignment and can ask anonymous questions.
Use GiftWise on your phone
Open GiftWise in your mobile browser. Use your browser’s Add to Home Screen or install option when available. The bottom navigation keeps everyday gifting actions close.
Export or delete your data
Open Settings and the data controls to export your data. To request account deletion during the alpha, use in-app feedback with the Account problem category. Requests require identity verification and review; see the Data deletion page for retention caveats.
Get help during the alpha
Use the in-app feedback option to report a problem. For a possible privacy issue, select Privacy concern, describe the workflow without copying someone else’s private content, and stop using the affected flow until it is reviewed.
